Latest Copyright Law in China

Copyright law in China continues to be a source of irritation and confusion.  Even the title of the latest revision makes most Westerner’s heads spin:

Copyright Law of the People’s Republic of China (Revised in 2010) (adopted in the 15th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 7th National People’s Congress on Sep.7, 1990 and revised in the 24th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 9th National People’ Congress on Oct.27, 2001 in accordance with the Decision on Revision of the Copyright Law of the People’s Republic of China for the first time and in the 13th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 11th National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China on Feb.26, 2010 in accordance with the Decision on Revision of the Copyright Law of the People’s Republic of China for the second time)

But for those of you concerned about this issue, here is a Copy of the latest REVISION (as of Feb 25 of this year) as published by the PRC’s Ministry of Commerce.
